Maui residents! Are you looking for an opportunity to get involved in your local wetlands? Here is an awesome opportunity! Save the Wetlands Hui is hosting a volunteer workday at La'iē Wetlands this Saturday, January 22 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. They will also be passing out Hui shirts and calendars. RSVP at mauiwetlands@gmail.com.
Volunteers will meet in the Medi Spa Maui parking lot 1445 S. Kihei Road from 8:00 am - 8:30am to SIGN-IN before heading out of the work area. Volunteers typically keep busy until about 11:30am-12pm (most volunteers work for about 3 - 4 hours), but any time you have to give is appreciated; no effort is too small! Bring a hat, reusable water bottle, reef-safe sun protection, close-toed shoes if you can bring your work gloves; if not, Save the Wetlands Hui will provide them for you.
