Learning Endeavors is excited to announce two Citizen Science Adventure Camps will be offered during Fall Break 2021! The first camp will be held October 12-14, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm for ages 12-16. This will be a hybrid camp, focusing on how hi-tech mapping and video production skills can be utilized to not only learn about Hawaiʻi coastal ecosystems, but how they can help protect them as well! Day 1 and 3 will be online, while day 2 will be a socially distanced exploration of Kealia Ponds National Wildlife Refuge. We will be prioritizing Covid-19 safety protocols and kindly ask each participant to present either a negative Covid-19 test 72 hours prior to day 2 or a proof of vaccination. Our second camp will be a one-day virtual camp for ages 7-12, taking place via Google Meet on October 15th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Since this camp is online it will be open to all islands! During our day we will be investigating various coastal ecosystems around Hawaiʻi through hands-on science, art, games and more! You can register on our events page!
